DESCRIPTION:The second half of the 2025 MLB season has already featured plenty of compelling matchups and the action continues on the diamond with an interleague matchup between Cleveland Guardians and New York Mets on Monday. \nBoth of these teams are squarely in the playoff picture in their respective leagues\, but the Mets are clearly in better shape with New York trailing the Phillies by just a half game in the NL East standings heading into Monday’s action. \nAs for the Guardians\, Cleveland is entering this series with plenty of confidence\, having just won consecutive series against the Twins and Rockies to stay in the AL Wild Card race. \nIt goes without saying that this will be a major step-up in competition against a World Series contender in the Mets. \nBoth of these teams could really use a series win\, especially with the Mets chasing the Phillies in the NL East and the Guardians sitting three games back of the final AL Wild Card spot. \nWill the Guardians continue their winning ways\, or will New York start the series off with a victory in front of its home fans? \n
